I turned to that famously charming genius, Ben Franklin, to add some sparkle to my day. Happily, I had downloaded a highly regarded biography, Benjamin Franklin, An American Life,  by Walter Isaacson several months ago. Mr. Isaacson and Mr. Franklin do not disappoint.
